This is the 36th edition of the Crystals meetings of the Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand and the first time this meeting has been combined with a conference of the Australian X-ray Analytical Association. This will bring together the two organisations and potentially their combined 700 members for the first time, and will be a great opportunity to share knowledge and celebrate the achievements of these two groups.
We look forward to Crystal36-AXAA 2026 bringing together our two communities for a collaborative forum of discussion and debate on new and emerging issues, practical challenges encountered, experimental research findings, emerging trends and recent technological innovations and technical developments. The meeting will continue the strong traditions of both societies but create an environment for collaboration and cooperation.
The Crystal36-AXAA 2026 conference is proudly and jointly organised by the Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand (https://scanz.iucr.org/), a member-based organisation that first met in 1961, and the Australian X-ray Analytical Association (https://www.axaa.org/), formed around 1968, which provides a forum for technical meetings, discussions and information interchange between workers in the fields of X-ray analysis.
Both organisations are supported by volunteer committees and are not-for-profit groups.
